Accessibility Guidelines Working Group

The mission of the Accessibility Guidelines Working Group is to develop guidelines to make Web content accessible for people with disabilities and to develop and maintain implementation support materials for the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.


2019-12-20 - New charter approved: A new charter has been approved. This charter adds Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 and the new standard incubated as "Silver" as deliverables, in addition to ongoing WCAG 2.x maintenance. All participants must rejoin the group by 3 February 2020. Charter link

Current Work

The Working Group maintains a comprehensive list of publications, which include:

  • Errata for WCAG 2.0, and
  • Accessibility Guidelines 3.0 ("Silver").

Work of the AG WG is in accordance with the W3C Process. AG WG work is funded in part by the WAI Core 2015 Project. The work of this group does not necessarily reflect the views or policies of the funders.
